Snow White With the Red Hair, also famous as Akagami no Shirayukihime, is a Japanese romanticized anime series. This show, just like most of the anime, is based on a manga series of the same name. Sorata Akizuki, the famous manga writer and illustrator, has produced the manga. The first manga series was published on August 10, 2006.
After a long time, Bones Studio and Warner Bros. decided to make an anime tv series, and Snow White with The Red Hair debuted with its first season on July 7, 2015.
It was an instant success, and the viewers fell in love with the show, and soon the makers announced a second season. Akagami no Shirayukihime season 2 premiered a year later, on January 12, 2016.
Since 2016, there has been a long break, and the makers haven’t announced anything about season three. The viewers are getting impatient to find out what will happen next in season 3.

Snow White focuses on a fictional world where the main events take place in two countries – Tanbarun and Clarines.
Akagami no Shirayukihime is a story of a cheerful girl named Shirayuki. She works as a pharmacist at a local apothecary in Tanbarun. While Shirayuki wants to live a peaceful life, her unique and gorgeous red hair attracts many men.
Eventually, Tanbarun’s vain prince, Raji Shenazard, got attracted to her beauty. The rest is a story of what happens when Shirayuki meets the prince and how they will get along.
The main reason why this anime is so popular is because of its title, as it’s similar to one of the famous stories by the Grimm brothers. The Synopsis Of Snow White With the Red Hair Season 1 and 2
In the first season, we saw that after getting attracted to Shirayuki, Prince Raji wanted her to become his mistress. Even if Shirayuki didn’t want to spend the rest of her life in the prince’s servitude, she couldn’t deny it since the prince’s order is a royal decree.
Being a strong woman, Shirayuki cut down most of her hair to dodge attention and tries to leave Tanbarun.
When she tries to flee and heads into a dark jungle, she meets a young man called Zen Wistaria, who was seemed poisoned. He must have had an apple which Prince Raji has poisoned to capture Shirayuki.
Shirayuki, being a herbalist, uses her knowledge of herbs and succeeds in curing Zen. The viewers come to know that Zen is a member of the royal family of Clarines, a neighboring country. With the help of his two friends, Kiki and Mitsuhide, Zen sneaked Shirayuki out on Tanbarun into his realm.

To repay the obligation to Zen and his friends, Shirayuki clears an exam and becomes a court herbalist in Clarines. As the story proceeds, it follows Shirayuki’s efforts to start a new life in Clarines and Zen’s attempts to be a man worthy of being a ruler.
In the second season, Zen and Shirayuki start developing romantic feelings for each other and dreamed of having a better future. Things start changing with the couple when Prince Raji invited Zen’s elder brother, Crown Prince Izana, to Tanbarun for a diplomatic summit.
Being a member of the royal court of Clarines, Shirayuki is also bound to attend the meeting and has to stay in Prince Raji’s court for seven days.
While she worries that Prince Raji will recognize her, she also has to deal with a mysterious guy named Kazuki, desperate to ask her out for unknown reasons.
The first two seasons were quite popular among fans as it describes a romantic love story with many twists. Now, as the story is incomplete, the fans are eager to watch season 3.
Is Snow White With the Red Hair Season 3 Confirmed?
The production studio has released 24 episodes and an OVA in approximately one year of duration. The manga writer had issued 19 volumes to date. Hence, they have enough source material to animate and make the third season of Akagami no Shirayukihime. Besides, the manga series is continuing. So, there’s no reason to end the anime because of the shortage of reference material.
Even though there’s no official announcement regarding the renewal, we still expect Snow White With the Red Hair Season 3 as Zen and Shirayuki’s love story is not complete, and the anime needs one more season to wrap it up.
