Kakashi Hatake, as a Childhood

Who is Kakashi Hatake?
Who is Kakashi Hatake?

Kakashi was raised by his Father, Sakumo, during his early years because his mother passed away while he was quite little. Sakumo was well-known in the shinobi community for saving Konoha at least once, and Kakashi held him in high regard. After Kakashi joined Konoha’s Ninja Academy, Because of the mission’s failure, which had terrible repercussions for the Land of Fire, many people in Konoha, including the teammates he saved, vilified him for ignoring his obligations. Sakumo killed himself after being humiliated. Kakashi decided that abiding by the Shinobi Rules must always come first after witnessing what his Father went through and vowing to avoid repeating the same errors.

Minato Namikaze Mentor

Who is Kakashi Hatake?

Kakashi excelled academically in the Academy, becoming known as a prodigy and the best of his generation. In the end, he rose to prominence among his colleagues. At age 5, Kakashi graduated from the Academy in one year at the top of his class after his abilities were quickly recognized. After becoming genin, he joined his classmates Rin Nohara and Obito, and Minato Namikaze served as their team captain.

At the team’s formation in the anime, Minato gave them a bell test and told them to take the two bells he always carried with him. They couldn’t get the bells without cooperation because Minato frequently held back less against the mighty Kakashi than with Rin and Obito. Sadly, Kakashi understood this and stopped using Obito and Rin as a means to an end in order to get the bells. Nevertheless, Minato passed them because they cooperated to complete the test’s objective. Afterward, Minato did advise them to strengthen their teamwork; this advice was heeded by Obito and Rin but ignored by Kakashi.

Throughout Team Minato’s career, they would embark on numerous missions, but Kakashi’s rigid adherence to the rules made him challenging to collaborate with; Obito, who was already envious of Kakashi’s talent and popularity, regularly disagreed with him over this behavior. Kakashi was given permission by Konoha officials to take part in the Chunin Exams at age 6, where he passed by defeating Might Guy and became a chunin.

Third Shinobi World War

Who is Kakashi Hatake?

In the end, Konoha got involved in the Third Shinobi World War. Team Minato was tasked with destroying the Kannabi Bridge in Kusagakure as part of the war effort in order to cut off Iwagakure’s supply stream. At the time, Minato had to be on the front lines, so Kakashi, a 12-year-old freshly promoted to jonin, was left in charge. To commemorate his promotion, Minato and Rin handed him gifts prior to the expedition; Obito had forgotten to get him anything. After entering Kusa, they came across Mahiru, an Iwagakure-scout.

Kakashi attempted to defeat him with his new Jutsu, Chidori. Still, because of the attack speed, he was exposed to a counterattack, necessitating Minato’s intervention in order to protect Kakashi and execute Mahiru. Minato told them goodbye and told Kakashi not to use the Chidori ever again.

Obito, Rin, and Kakashi headed deeper into Kusa. After kidnapping Rin to learn more about their objective, Mahiru’s teammates Kakko and Taiseki ultimately discovered them. Obito quickly proposed that they save her, but Kakashi decided against it, feeling that it was more crucial to complete the objective than worrying about Rin’s safety. Obito disapproved of this and left on his own to save Rin.

Before he went, he told Kakashi that Sakumo had been a hero and that abandoning one’s objective was awful, and abandoning one’s colleagues was worse. After starting the task alone, Kakashi came to the conclusion that Obito was correct and proceeded to join him. He arrived just in time to use his Father’s White Light Chakra Sabre to protect Obito from Taiseki.

Kakashi lost his left eye

Who is Kakashi Hatake?

Taiseki attempted to sneak attack Obito while becoming invisible. Kakashi shielded him, but the protection caused severe damage to his left eye. Obito then used his Sharingan to murder Taiseki at that same moment. They then made their way inside the cave where Rin was imprisoned, chased Kakko out, and freed Rin from the genjutsu he had put her under. Due to his damaged eye, Kakashi was struck in his blind zone and found it impossible to evade the falling rocks when Kakko forced a cave-in in retaliation.

Obito shoved him out of the way, but he was imprisoned instead of being crushed by a huge boulder. Obito made the decision to make his last act by giving Kakashi the gift he forgot to offer him earlier: his Sharingan to replace the eye Kakashi lost because he was unable to escape and knew his injuries were too severe to survive.

Kakashi approached Kakko after Rin implanted Obito’s Sharingan into him. Despite losing his White Light Chakra Sabre in the ensuing battle, Kakashi was eventually able to control the speed of the Sharingan thanks to the Sharingan’s enhanced vision, and he was able to kill Kakko with Chidori. He returned to where Obito and Rin were, but Iwa soldiers quickly showed up and began encircling the wreckage. Kakashi agreed to Obito’s request to take Rin and keep her safe, leaving Obito behind. He engaged them for as long as he could as the Iwa-nin surrounded them, fending them off until Minato eventually found them and finished off the others.

Kakashi and Obito save Rin

Who is Kakashi Hatake?

Minato helped them destroy the Kannabi Bridge and then accompanied them as they went back to Konoha to grieve over Obito. Many members of the Uchiha clan opposed Kakashi using a Sharingan because he was not related to them by blood. Still, Fugaku Uchiha, the clan’s leader, decided to honor Obito’s final deeds by allowing Kakashi to keep his gift.

Later on, Rin was taken hostage by Kirigakure on a mission. Eventually, Kakashi was able to save her and begin returning her to Konoha. Along the way, Rin revealed that Kiri had locked the Three-Tails into her body to unleash it on Konoha and obliterate the town from within once she inexorably lost control of it.

Rin implored Kakashi to kill her to stop this from happening, but he refused, not wanting to return on his pledge to defend her to Obito and hoping to find another way out. With his renamed Chidori, the Lightning Cutter, Kakashi battled them off as Kiri-nin pursued them and made futile attempts to recover her.

In one of these attacks, Rin dodged Kakashi’s blow and passed away at his hands, protecting Konoha. Just before Kakashi passed out, this shock prompted his Sharingan to change into a Mangekyo Sharingan. Later, Konoha reinforcements located him, but none could explain why all the Kiri troops had been slaughtered without being aware of Tobi’s activities.

Kakashi Anbu Career

Who is Kakashi Hatake?

Kakashi fell into a depression due to losing two colleagues quickly, his part in Rin’s demise, and his failure to fulfill Obito’s final wish by safeguarding Rin. Many people in the anime thought he killed Rin on purpose to stop her from disclosing information, earning him the moniker “Friend-Killer Kakashi.” Many people, especially those in Anbu, thought he would kill a fellow soldier without a second thought if it meant finishing the mission. In addition, he would avoid acquaintances and old classmates throughout the day, and at night, he would have nightmares of killing Rin.

After Obito and Rin were killed, Minato, the new Hokage, tried to pull Kakashi out of the depression he had experienced by putting him in charge of the Anbu. Kakashi performed well in the Anbu, rising to captain and overseeing Team Ro. However, his icy demeanor and ruthlessness in battle were the reasons for his victories and indications that he was still grieving Rin’s passing. Therefore, Minato adopted a new strategy: he assigned Kakashi to guard Kushina Uzumaki, Minato’s wife, while she was pregnant.

Kakashi faithfully performed his job, keeping an eye on Kushina whenever she left the house from the shadows. He would pay a visit to Rin’s grave and Obito’s engraving during his free time to express his sorrow and to let them know how his life was progressing without them.

Kakashi and several of Konoha’s other young ninjas were kept safe inside a barrier during the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox Attack and were unable to assist in defending the town. Ultimately, Minato defeated the Nine-Tails only after paying the price for his and Kushina’s lives.

Kakashi under Danzo

Who is Kakashi Hatake?

The young Kakashi Hatake was then consoled by Danzo Shimura, who pointed out that Hiruzen Sarutobi had instructed the children—including senior ninja-like Kakashi—to refrain from participating in the fight against the Nine-Tails. This prevented Kakashi from possibly saving his sensei and the man’s wife.

Kakashi agreed to join Danzo’s Root division and spy on the Hokage after Danzo persuaded an emotional Kakashi that the Third was not the best option for the village’s future. Kakashi came into another Root member with the codename “Kinoe” during a mission who could use Wood Release. He broke into the Hokage Residence because he knew that the First Hokage was the only one who could use Wood Release. Therefore he wanted to find out more about this anomaly.

The Third apprehended him but gave him the information he requested without hesitation: Konoha had previously attempted to duplicate the Wood Release powers but gave up the effort after murdering too many test victims. The Third reflected that if the research had been effective, the Nine-Tails might have been defeated and Minato saved.

Kakashi learned from this encounter with the Third that he was not the impotent, emotionless commander Danzo had painted him as being. Furthermore, Danzo had not attempted to halt the Nine-Tails’ assault using Kinoe. Kakashi, realizing he had chosen the wrong side, informed the Third of Danzo’s plans to kill him and, the next day, personally drew the assassins—among whom was Kinoe—out of hiding.

Although he was easily defeated, Kakashi decided to spare his life since he thought he would become an important ally in the future. After working against the Hokage, Kakashi tried to leave the Anbu, but the Third argued that Kakashi’s service was vital and appointed him as his right-hand man.

Kakashi in search of Orochimaru

Who is Kakashi Hatake?

Kakashi gave a clue when looking into a string of disappearances, and it was then that it was found that Orochimaru was responsible for the Wood Release study that gave rise to Kinoe. When the Third Hokage failed to capture Orochimaru, Kakashi assaulted him in the anime, but Orochimaru’s deadly intent paralyzed him, allowing Orochimaru to escape. Once he recovered his calm, Kakashi pursued him but was apprehended by the Iburi clan devoted to Orochimaru.

Their ally Kinoe persuaded them to allow him to question Kakashi. When alone, Kinoe revealed that Danzo was preparing his strategies to take on Orochimaru and, with Yukimi’s assistance, helped Kakashi escape. Later, because Yukimi was so important to Kakashi, he intended to use her to kidnap Orochimaru. Later, Kakashi clarified that Orochimaru could cross the border undetected if Yukimi’s blood briefly gave him the Iburi clan’s smoke metamorphosis. Yukimi heard that and quickly retreated to the cave.

After killing most of the Iburi clan, Orochimaru managed to escape again. Still, Kakashi protected Kinoe because he understood that her relationship with Yukimi was similar to his relationship with Rin. Kakashi decided to leave and keep quiet regarding the involvement of the Iburi and Root.

Over the following decades, Kakashi remained in his investigation of Orochimaru, and three years after the latter defected, he finally discovered one of his hidden laboratories. Kinoe assaulted him while there, who Danzo had ordered to steal his Sharingan. Kakashi made an effort to persuade him by arguing that friendship should come before duty. Enraged by Kinoe’s accusation that Kakashi had betrayed that creed by killing Rin, Kakashi overpowered and chose to bring him before the Third Hokage.

Kakashi killed Orochimaru’s Snake

Who is Kakashi Hatake?

One of Orochimaru’s snake experiments escaped its test tube and attacked the two before they had a chance to leave. Kakashi was able to kill the monster as Kinoe was being held captive. The creature’s carcass started releasing a deadly vapor while saving Kinoe, quickly infecting Kakashi.

Kakashi was saved by Kinoe, who also decided to leave his quest while leaving Kakashi a note after accepting Kakashi’s remarks and giving him an antidote. When Kakashi awoke, he petitioned the Third for assistance because he was certain that Danzo would punish Kinoe for disobedience. Kakashi broke into the Root headquarters with the Third’s approval and prevented Danz from putting a cursed seal on Kinoe.

The Third arrived to approve Kakashi’s conduct personally and further negotiate Kinoe’s release from Root as Root forces began to encircle them. With the new codename “Tenzo,” Kakashi joined Team Ro with Kinoe.

Itachi Uchiha was added to Team Ro two years later. When Kakashi and Itachi defeated the Land of Woods’ Praj Group, Itachi was warned against his relentless approach and encouraged the importance of friends. The Third Hokage felt that individuals with kind hearts did not belong in the Anbu and relieved Kakashi of his duty, returning him to the standard forces.

Kakashi Hatake Team 7 Captain

Who is Kakashi Hatake?

Kakashi is assigned as the leader of Team 7, comprised of Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, and Sakura Haruno. He gives Team 7 a bell test and tells them to take one of the two bells on his person. Naruto and his shadow clones fail the test, and Sakura is defeated by one of Kakashi’s genjutsu.

Naruto thinks Team 7 is overqualified for many D-rank tasks, yet they complete them. In response to his complaint to the Third Hokage, he is granted a C-rank mission to accompany Tazuna to the Land of Waves.

When they arrive in the Land of Waves, Zabuza Momochi, a former Kiri-nin, welcomes them. When Kakashi realizes how powerful Zabuza is, he pulls out his Sharingan and confronts him, leaving his pupils in charge of Tazuna’s safety. In his first encounter with Zabuza, Kakashi successfully uses his water clones to defeat Zabuza. Kakashi gives Team 7 the order to leave him behind and flee with Tazuna after Zabuza successfully captures him in a water prison.

He is ignored by Naruto, who then releases him with the aid of Sasuke. Kakashi thanks them before picking up the fight with Zabuza and deploying his ninjutsu against him. Zabuza appears to be murdered by a young hunter-nin as he prepares to finish him off, and his body is then hauled away. Team 7 goes on to Tazuna’s house, but Kakashi must be carried because of his exhaustion from using the Sharingan excessively.

Kakashi questioned Zabuza

Who is Kakashi Hatake?

While recovering, Kakashi questions Zabuza’s demise and fears he might still be alive. If this is the case, he demonstrates the Tree Climbing Exercise to Team 7 to help them hone their chakra control, which will be helpful if Zabuza does really make a comeback. Kakashi has recovered after a week of rest, and Team 7 as a whole has mastered the exercise; Naruto, who is exhausted from the training, is permitted to continue resting as they resume Tazuna’s bodyguarding.

They discover Zabuza and Haku (the previous hunter-nin) waiting for them when they get to the bridge Tazuna is working on. Zabuza prevents Kakashi from assisting Sasuke in escaping the Demonic Mirroring Ice Crystals in which Haku has imprisoned him.

To prevent Kakashi from using his Sharingan, Zabuza covers the area in a dense mist after taking a lesson from his previous confrontation. Kakashi stays close to Tazuna. As a result, knowing that Zabuza will eventually come after him. In fact, Zabuza attacks, and while defending Tazuna, Kakashi is severely hurt by Zabuza’s Kubikiribocho. Kakashi, still reeling from his injury, notices Naruto utilize the chakra of the Nine-Tails.

Kakashi resolves to end the fight fast out of concern that the seal enclosing the beast is fading. He calls on his ninken and instructs them to find his blood, which is still on Zabuza’s Kubikiribocho. Once they’ve found him, they take him down, and Kakashi begins to use his Lightning Cutter to attack. Haku moves before Zabuza just as he is about to strike him, taking the blow.

Kakashi defeated Zabuza

In his final act, Haku grabs Kakashi to prevent him from fleeing, which enables Zabuza, now free from the ninken, to attempt to slice through him to reach Kakashi. After pulling away and laying Haku’s body down, Kakashi disables both of Zabuza’s arms in a rage. Gat then shows up with a legion of mercenaries to execute them all, Zabuza included. Zabuza initially kills Gato, then Kakashi uses his “Multiple Shadow Clone Technique” to frighten the swarm away.

Zabuza, who is bleeding to death, requests to be placed next to Haku from Kakashi. Following his departure, Kakashi buries them both after agreeing. Team 7 returns to Konoha after completing their assignment, taking the Great Naruto Bridge that Tazuna finished constructing.

Chunin Exams

Even though Team 7 resumes their dull sequence of missions, Kakashi is happy with how they’ve progressed. He advises them to take the Chunin Exams even though they have only recently graduated from the Academy. He forgets to mention that they must enter as a team because he doesn’t want anyone to feel under pressure to compete—especially Sakura. So when they all individually decide to sit for the examinations, he is happy and wishes them success.

During the Chunin exam, Orochimaru gave Sasuke Uchiha a cursed mark. Kakashi observed it and then took Sasuke so he could seal the cursed mark to some extent. In the final stages of the Chunin exam, Orochimaru and a few sand shinobi attacked Konoha but failed to do so.

Kakashi fight with Itachi Uchiha

Who is Kakashi Hatake?

Soon after the burial, Kakashi observes cloaked people moving about Konoha. He pursues them out of suspicion while maintaining his pretense that he is merely having lunch with Sasuke. He starts a conversation with Asuma Sarutobi and Kurenai Yhi while waiting for Sasuke and subtly warns them about the men in cloaks. Asuma and Kurenai are sent after the cloaked men by Kakashi after Sasuke arrives, and they depart.

However, Kakashi starts worrying and decides to join Asuma and Kurenai instead of having lunch with Sasuke. He does this without disclosing the real reason. He arrives just in time to protect Kurenai and Asuma from Itachi Uchiha and Kisame Hoshigaki, respectively.

Itachi tells Kisame to avoid Kakashi because a confrontation with him would drag on for too long. He also claims that a fight between him and Kakashi wouldn’t take long. Kakashi barely manages to block his initial attack with a Water Formation Wall. After removing Kurenai from Itachi’s Clone Great Explosion, he turns to face Itachi and notices that the latter is wielding a Mangekyo Sharingan. He subjects him to three days of suffering in a matter of seconds, ordering Asuma and Kurenai to close their eyes while he is attacked with Tsukuyomi.

Itachi gives Kisame the orders to assassinate Asuma and Kurenai and capture Kakashi to learn more about him. Might Guy stops Kisame, and after their escape, Kakashi collapses. Guy brings Kakashi back to his house, puts him to sleep, and leaves him there until Tsunade, the new Hokage, arrives in Konoha and restores Kakashi’s mental health.

Kakashi tried to stop Sasuke

Who is Kakashi Hatake?

When Kakashi is assigned a mission assignment due to Konoha’s manpower shortage following the unsuccessful invasion, he is still healing. He visits Sasuke at the hospital where he has been staying after his run-in with Itachi and discovers Sasuke engaged in combat with Naruto before leaving. Sasuke’s Chidori and Naruto’s Rasengan are about to collide until Kakashi catches both of them and throws them aside.

Kakashi finds him and ties him to a tree to force Sasuke to hear what he has to say. He begins by attempting to dissuade Sasuke from exacting revenge on the Uchiha clan, claiming that even if he is successful, he won’t be able to bring back those who have already passed away. Kakashi responds by saying that those people are already dead and that Sasuke doesn’t comprehend what he is going through. Sasuke then offers to kill those who are most important to Kakashi.

Kazekage Rescue Mission

Who is Kakashi Hatake?

When Naruto returns from his two and a half years of training with Jiraiya, Kakashi is the first to welcome him. Kakashi immediately begins reading Icha Icha Tactics after Naruto presents it to him. Jiraiya informs Kakashi that Akatsuki will soon make a move as Naruto departs to visit Sakura. Kakashi reassembles Team 7 and administers another bell test to them once Naruto and Sakura have had time to catch up.

Information that Akatsuki has abducted Gaara, the Fifth Kazekage, and the jinchriki of the One-Tail reaches Konoha as Team 7 attempts in vain to find a task that Naruto won’t object to. To help in the Gaara’s rescue, Team 7 is dispatched to Sunagakure. When they go to Suna, Chiyo attacks Kakashi since she thinks he’s his Father; however, her brother Ebizo stops the attack before it can connect, much to Kakashi’s relief. Team 7 gathers what information they can on Gaara’s captors before setting out to find them; Chiyo offers to accompany them because they are unfamiliar with the region around Suna.

They run into Itachi Uchiha on their way to an Akatsuki lair. While they are fighting him, Kakashi notes that Itachi is acting strangely, especially considering how little he is using the Mangekyo Sharingan. They were actually fighting a doppelgänger, and it turns out after Naruto seemingly kills him with a Big Ball Rasengan.

Tsunade’s backup team, Team 7, arrives in the Akatsuki lair before Team Guy does. After Team Guy destroys the entrance barrier, Team 7 enters and discovers Gaara’s body beside his captors, Deidara and Sasori. Sasori is left in the care of Sakura and Chiyo as Naruto and Kakashi pursue Deidara after she grabs Gaara’s body and escapes.

Kakashi trained Naruto

Who is Kakashi Hatake?

Kakashi begins by defining his nature, which is wind. After it is resolved, Kakashi teaches Naruto how to harness nature’s wind. By training alongside hundreds of shadow clones, Naruto can complete the same training in a fraction of the time it would normally take. Naruto learns how to use the wind nature swiftly with the help of Kakashi’s lessons and the practice areas built by Yamato. The following phase, integrating nature with Rasengan, is more challenging for him. Kakashi can’t give Naruto any advice because he and Minato Namikaze failed to unite their natures with the Rasengan. Hence, all he can do is observe as Naruto tries to create anything.

Kakashi vs. Kakuzu

Who is Kakashi Hatake?

Shikamaru Nara, who had already planned a strategy, changes it to take Kakashi’s presence into account as Kakashi offers to aid Team 10 in exact revenge on Asuma.

Kakashi hides until Kakuzu is forced to use his Earth Spear, at which moment Kakashi pierces him through the heart with his Lightning Cutter. This happens once they have located the Akatsuki members Hidan and Kakuzu.

Kakuzu, who has two hearts, repels Kakashi and uses his Earth Grudge Fear’s elemental masks to put Team 10 on the defensive. To have any hope of winning, they must keep Hidan and Kakuzu apart, so Shikamaru steals a vial of Kakuzu’s blood that Kakashi covertly obtained and leads Hidan away. Shikamaru dupes Hidan into using the blood to curse Kakuzu, killing one of his hearts just in time for Kakashi to grab it.

Kakuzu is getting ready to destroy Team 10 and Kakashi after discovering that two hearts were lost. Naruto and Yamato work together to stop his onslaught as Sakura, and Sai join them to offer support. While everyone else gets ready to confront Kakuzu, Kakashi summons Pakkun to take Sakura and Sai to Shikamaru if he needs assistance. After completing his jutsu, Naruto offers to take on Kakuzu by himself.

However, Naruto’s new Wind Release, the Rasenshuriken, is temperamental, and when it malfunctions after only one usage, Kakashi and Yamato are forced to save him. The second time, it successfully breaks two of Kakuzu’s hearts and threatens to break the last one. The Rasenshuriken has left a lasting impression on Kakashi, who informs Kakuzu that it was only normal for one generation to surpass another. Kakashi then used a Lightning Cutter to eliminate Kazuku.

Team 7 Investigate Orochimaru’s moments

Team 8 is sent on a mission by Kakashi to look into one of Orochimaru’s freshly found bases. They are confronted by Guren, one of Orochimaru’s lieutenants, during their inquiry, and she traps them with her Jade Crystal Labyrinth Technique. Eventually, Team 7 shows there to rescue and aids in their escape, but as they pursue Guren, they encounter the Three-Tails.

Konoha is called upon after Kakashi asks it, and together they attempt to seal the Three-Tails. The Three-Tails escape after Guren and her team intervene, but Guren’s squad loses. Anbu is then dispatched to seal the Three-Tails in their place after they are recalled to Konoha.

Pain vs Kakashi Hatake

Who is Kakashi Hatake?

Soon later, the Six Paths of Pain assault Konoha; some draw attention to themselves, while others avoid fighting and look for Naruto, who has gone to Mount Myoboku to practice. Kakashi deduces this strategy and seeks out a member of the latter group. He discovers the Deva Path while doing so, and by facing it, he is able to save Iruka Umino. The Deva Path repels Kakashi’s attempts to corner it so that he can use his Lightning Cutter to kill it.

Pain sends the Asura Path to aid the Deva Path since he realizes Kakashi is a serious foe. Due to the combined vision of their Rinnegan, Kakashi struggles against both. Still, their conflicting jutsu at least draws the notice of reinforcements, and Choza and Choji Akimichi disable the Asura Path when they get there.

Kakashi observes a lengthy cool-down interval between the Deva Path’s jutsu after carefully observing the skills of the path. Kakashi takes advantage of this by placing chains beneath it and directing Choza and Choji to assault it from opposing sides.

When Shinra Tensei deflects them, they seize the opportunity to confine him by grabbing the chains, allowing Kakashi to use his Lightning Cutter as a weapon. The Asura Path acts as a shield before he can strike, giving the Deva Path time to strike back. Kakashi’s reinforcements are routed, and Kakashi is imprisoned in the rubble.

Kakashi saved Choji

The Deva Path drives a nail at Kakashi’s head to kill him because they believe that if they let him live, he will cause trouble. After that, they move on. However, Kakashi just plays dead, warping the nail with Kamui just in time. Kakashi sends Choji to Tsunade to inform her of all they have discovered regarding the powers of the Deva Path when he awakens. In an effort to stop Choji, the still-active Asura Path shoots a missile at him; Kakashi is compelled to use Kamui once more to warp the missile away. His chakra reserves are depleted as a result, and he dies.

Kakashi met his Father

Who is Kakashi Hatake?

Kakashi sees his Father, Sakumo, waiting for him after passing away. He implores Kakashi to share details of his life, and Kakashi agrees. He ends by stating that he is proud to be Sakumo’s son and that he comprehends the decisions Sakumo made when he was living. Before Kakashi returns to the living plane, Sakumo praises him for giving him some serenity at least and allowing him to continue to the afterlife at that precise moment, a light enveloping him as a sign of his recovery.

Those surrounding are surprised when Kakashi awakens. He is told what transpired while he was gone, including how Pain destroyed the village and how Naruto eventually overcame Pain. Kakashi goes to meet Naruto as he returns to Konoha and brings him there, where the entire village celebrates his victory.

Kakashi Encounter with Obito Uchiha(Tobi)

Who is Kakashi Hatake?

Tobi confronts Naruto as they wait to decide what to do while staying at a local inn. He points out that he may always flee, but Kakashi and Yamato assault him because they expect him. Instead of doing that, he explains to them why Sasuke is there: to exact revenge on Konoha for compelling Itachi to destroy the Uchiha clan. They have doubts about what he says regarding the fall of the Uchiha Clan, but Tobi is indifferent and departs after telling Naruto what he wants. Following that, Kakashi advises the trio to keep what Tobi said between them until they learn more and can determine whether it’s accurate.

Kakashi saves Sakura from Sasuke.

Who is Kakashi Hatake?

Kakashi uses Sai’s ink clone to direct Yamato to Sakura so that he can stop her after leaving Naruto with Yamato. Along the way, the clone disintegrates, which it tells happened because Sakura killed the real Sai. Sasuke is about to kill her with Chidori when Kakashi catches up with her.

Kakashi tells Sakura that she doesn’t have to bear responsibility for Sasuke because he has more responsibility for the team’s deteriorating circumstances and increasing schism since he was Sasuke’s former teacher. He begs Sasuke once more to end his need for vengeance, but Sasuke laughs in his face because Tobi has corrupted him beyond the point of reason.

Kakashi says he finally comprehends what the Third Hokage went through with Orochimaru as he prepares for a fight. Sasuke launches an arrow at Kakashi with his Susanoo before warping away with Kamui. Using Uchiha’s power infuriates Sasuke, who threatens to harm Kakashi. Kakashi, exhausted from using Kamui, cannot get to Sakura in time to defend herself from Sasuke’s retribution as she approaches from behind to murder him.

Naruto helps save Sakura. Kakashi instructs Naruto to remove Sakura. Kakashi, in Naruto’s opinion, will murder Sasuke. Instead, Naruto holds Kakashi in check while going up against Sasuke.

Fourth Shinobi World War

As soon as they return to Konoha, Kakashi meets with the Konoha Council and informs them of all that has happened, including how Sasuke killed Danzo. Kakashi grudgingly accepts the post since Konoha now needs another Hokage. He is presented to the Fire daimyo, but before any decision can be made, the word is received that Tsunade has emerged from her coma, making the proceedings pointless. Later, when he sees Tsunade, he praises her for waking up before he is saddled with any significant obligations.

Kakashi as Commander

Who is Kakashi Hatake?

The Third Division of the Allied Shinobi Forces is given to Kakashi as commander. He asks Guy to serve as his second in command in the anime. To be prepared for any situation, the Third Division is mobilized before the other divisions. They see one of the Surprise Attack Division’s distress flares as they search for an Akatsuki unit and go toward it. They are protected from the resurrected Gari, Pakura, Haku, and Zabuza Momochi by the Third Division, who shows up just in time.

When they see Kakashi and Sakura, Haku and Zabuza enquire how Naruto is doing. Their summoner, Kabuto, cuts off their talk by stifling their personalities, so Haku and Zabuza make a final plea to Kakashi for help. Kakashi and his force could win against the 7 swordsmen of the mist.

Later, Kakashi Hatake joined the main battlefield, where he learned about Tobi’s face, and it was his friend Obito Uchiha who everyone thought was dead.

Kakashi Hatake vs Obito Uchiha

With Kamui, Kakashi tries to halt it, but Obito intercepts and transports him to Kamui’s dimension. Once they arrive, Kakashi attacks Obito with a Lightning Cutter but refrains from really killing him. Kakashi explains the circumstances of Rin’s death when Obito accuses him of having a guilty conscience, but Obito knows that she decided to die. Obito is persuaded by this fact alone that the world as it is is not worth preserving.

Kakashi launches an attack in an effort to save the world that the Obito he once knew cared about after acknowledging that Obito’s worldview cannot be changed. After a protracted exchange, Kakashi uses a kunai that has been charged with lightning to penetrate Obito’s heart. Kakashi collapses when Obito escapes after suffering similar severe injuries.

Kakashi helped team 7 to defeat Kaguya Otsutsuki.

Sasuke utilizes his own Rinnegan to ward off the effects of the Infinite Tsukuyomi while the world around them is destroyed by it. When they return, they discover that Madara had bound everyone on Earth to God: Nativity of a World of Trees and imprisoned them all in never-ending dreams.

They are confronted by Madara, who declares that he has ended all wars and that the only opposition left, Team 7, is trying to restart the cycle of death that has afflicted the globe for ages. Black Zetsu, who transferred to Madara from Obito’s body to turn him into Kaguya Otsutsuki, Black Zetsu’s true master, stabs him from behind as he speaks.

Later, Obito Uchiha accepted to help Kakashi and Naruto to fight against Madara Uchiha. Kakashi fought all the way to the end of the fourth shinobi world war.

The chakra resources of those stranded in the Infinite Tsukuyomi are now available to Kaguya, the chakra source. She takes Team 7 to a sea of lava in one of Kaguya’s Dimensions since she, too, wants their chakra. Sasuke stops Naruto from plummeting into the lava; in order to accomplish the same, Kakashi grabs Sakura, ties himself to an unconscious Obito with a scroll, and pins Obito to a wall.

The scroll starts to burn due to the heat, but Naruto sends a shadow clone to stop it. Kakashi cannot help, so all he can do is watch while Naruto and Sasuke battle Kaguya, Sakura and Obito (after he awakens) offer assistance, and Kaguya repeatedly changes dimensions in an effort to defeat them.

The Last: Naruto the Movie

Kakashi attends a Five Kage Summit two years after the Fourth Shinobi World War to talk about the impending crash of the Moon. Toneri Otsutsuki abducts Hanabi Hyuga soon after he gets back to Konoha. In addition to giving them a unique clock that counts down to the Moon’s collision and a request to stop it if Toneri is somehow involved, Kakashi sends the Hanabi Rescue Team to save her.

Kakashi in Boruto: The Next Generation

He doesn’t show up when Naruto becomes Hokage (having been knocked out earlier). Kakashi, who had no more time to waste, asked Konohamaru Sarutobi to play the role of Naruto so that the celebrations could go on as scheduled. Kakashi continued to assist with village issues after he retired from active duty and counseled his successor.

Graduation Exams Arc

Kakashi posed as “Sukea,” a freelance reporter who conducted interviews with various students to learn more about each character. He offered his services as a proctor for the approaching graduation exams. Kakashi met Boruto after classes, who assisted him in meeting the pupils. He pointed out that although the world has less need for ninjas, ninja talents can still be useful in other sectors Boruto was surprised that all of his classmates had plans for the future, some of them as ninjas and some choosing to pursue goals outside of ninja activity.

The fact that the Sixth Hokage would serve as their head proctor during the practical exam struck the pupils in awe. It was explained that only one student could pass; that student would be the one who removed the solitary bell from Kakashi’s hip. Shino Aburame, Anko Mitarashi, and Konohamaru Sarutobi will be judging the students’ individual achievements in a 24-hour field battle. They already have enough shinobi in this time of peace, Kakashi insisted, much to the annoyance of the others.

Boruto asked him for assistance because none of the other parties could teach him the Big Ball Rasengan to fight Deepa. However, Kakashi claimed that it was a futile endeavor because Boruto’s chakra reserves weren’t even close to being sufficient to use that technique. Boruto was yet determined to find a different way to enhance his Rasengan despite this. Upon realizing this, Kakashi agreed to assist Boruto in mastering the Wind Release Rasengan technique in order to teach him how to use nature transformation on his weapon.

Kakashi’s Personality

Kakashi had always been quite independent and self-assured, sometimes even appearing arrogant and condescending. Despite this, Kakashi had excellent perception and intuition, swiftly recognizing the reality of the situation. Following all laws to the letter, reprimanding anybody who broke them, and being willing to leave his comrades behind to complete missions, Kakashi grew more severe, distant, and cold toward others after his father’s death.

As an adult, Kakashi usually has a laid-back, almost bored attitude and isn’t easily upset by anything or anyone. Despite rising fame and ninja proficiency, Kakashi has never displayed any symptoms of hubris and is quite humble about his skills. He consistently arrives late, makes lame explanations that no one buys, and then leaves for just as lame reasons. Kakashi only acts in this manner for situations that aren’t particularly important, despite wanting others to think that this is how he always behaves.

Kakashi’s Appearance

Kakashi and his father often get confused about one another because of how much they resemble one another. He has dark grey eyes that are occasionally black, spiky silver hair frequently parted to the left, and a generally laid-back face. His left eye was hurt during the Third Shinobi World War, and the wound left a vertical scar. The Sharingan, which he conceals with his forehead shield while not in use, quickly took the place of the eye. During the Fourth Shinobi World War, Naruto repaired Kakashi’s original eye, and Kakashi went back to wearing his forehead protector balanced over his forehead.

He has worn a mask that covers most of his face since early childhood and almost always. Even his ninken have only sometimes seen his face. Thus most of them have forgotten what he looks like without the mask. He has a tight jawline and a beauty mark under the left corner of his mouth when he occasionally shows his entire face. He is generally considered exceptionally attractive, as evidenced by Teuchi and Ayame’s reactions upon first seeing his face.

In both Part I and Part II, Kakashi spends most of the time dressed in the infantry uniform of Konoha: a flak jacket, dark blue leggings, and a long-sleeve shirt. He is also spotted wearing a chain necklace underneath his fingerless gloves with metal plates on the backhand. After the Fourth Shinobi World War, he mostly looks the same, with the exception of a red armband on his left bicep, boots in place of sandals, and Konoha’s modified flak jacket.

Kakashi without Mask

He takes off his mask and forehead guard when posing as “Sukea.” Instead, he sports a shaggy greyish-brown wig, grey contact lenses, purple eye makeup, and purple patches underneath his eyes to hide his scar. Additionally, he typically dresses in grey jeans, a long green trench coat, and a purple scarf.

Kakashi’s Abilities

Kakashi is a prodigy with abilities passed down from Konoha’s White Fang. He is one of his village’s strongest shinobi graduates and has attracted the attention of several high-level ninjas. Kakashi showed exceptional talent early, as shown by his quick ascent through the ninja ranks. His abilities are considered to rival those of a whole nation. The S-Rank Akatsuki members recognize his might; he outwitted Itachi Uchiha (albeit unable to wield his Mangekyo Sharingan at the time); he battled Kisame Hoshigaki and Kakuzu to a standstill; even Pain considered him to be a serious threat.

Despite losing his Sharingan, Kakashi’s combat skills continued to improve after Kaguya was defeated since he was no longer forced to use chakra passively to deactivate it like an Uchiha. Kakashi successfully pressured Koji Kashin, one of Kara’s strongest Inners, into fleeing.

Chakra and Physical Prowess

Kakashi admitted that his chakra reserves were initially ordinary. He may employ Kamui or the Lightning Cutter only once or twice a day. While doing so, he makes up for it with incredible control, just needing the bare minimum to execute his technique and even being able to do so with just one hand.

However, by Part II, Kakashi’s reserves had grown significantly, as evidenced by the fact that he used both techniques repeatedly during the Fourth Great Shinobi War’s decisive battle with little effort or tiredness. In subsequent years, his reserves allowed him to casually use his Purple Electricity multiple times while also creating and maintaining four huge collective walls for a few days.

In close quarters, Kakashi’s taijutsu can employ a variety of strategies. His experience in the Anbu equips him with the ability to sneak up behind foes while being undetected by other Anbu. He also seems equally at ease fighting from the front, hitting with lightning speed and crippling precision to quickly dispatch several adversaries thanks to his recurrent rivalries with Might Guy. One of the Eight Gates can be opened by Kakashi.

He is speedy enough to perform hand seals at unfathomable speeds and powerful enough to hold Kubikiribocho with one hand for extended periods of time without tiring. He also possesses quick reflexes that allow him to deflect assaults that he cannot see.

Ninjutsu

Kakashi mostly draws on his mastery of ninjutsu and extensive ability in that art. He outperformed his contemporaries in ninjutsu as an academy student, mastering the Multiple Shadow Clone Technique. He amassed a sizable arsenal over time, largely because of his Sharingan, earning the nickname “Copy Ninja Kakashi.” Kakashi is said to have duplicated over a thousand techniques.

In the anime, Akashi is seen employing his own personal pack of ninken, which he bred from pups. This is done during the Third Shinobi World War. In the field, he can call on one or more of his ninken to bring him supplies, hold back opponents, or carry messages. More often than not, he employs them for tracking, picking up tracks, or locating targets he is unsure where to look.

Nature Transformation

All five fundamental nature transformations and the Yin Release and Yang Release are available to Kakashi. Without a local water source, he may create enormous defensive and attacking structures using Water Release. He can use Earth Release to create numerous complicated walls to defend himself or vast areas from attack, or he can move underground for covert attacks. He is seen firing a huge fireball with Fire Release.

Dojutsu

Sharingan eye

Obito Uchiha gave Kakashi his Sharingan during the Third Shinobi World War as a substitute for the left eye he had recently lost. In the years that have passed, the Sharingan has grown to be his most distinctive characteristic, earning him the moniker “Kakashi of the Sharingan.” With the Sharingan, Kakashi can perceive more visual information, perform the Sharingan’s wide range of genjutsu, and faithfully imitate any movement he sees (provided his physical ability permits).

Mangekyo Sharingan

When Rin Nohara passed away, Kakashi was given a Mangekyo Sharingan. Its design resembles a pinwheel, with three triangles looping themselves around the pupil. Even though he was gradually experiencing its negative effects, such as bleeding eyes and worsening vision, he could sustain it for more than ten years with each use. With his left Mangekyo, Kakashi can perform the long-range Kamui technique, which involves creating a barrier around whatever he is looking at in order to warp it to Kamui’s dimension. Eventually, he learns how to send himself both to and from the dimension.

Kakashi is able to employ both of Obito’s Mangekyo after losing his Sharingan since Obito’s spirit momentarily inhabits his body. He has the ability to employ the short-range Kamui in addition to the long-range Kamui he had previously, enabling him to turn invisible so that attacks pass through him. Kakashi can evade all defenses and remove the chance of being attacked while being countered by pairing this power with his Lightning Cutter. Due to his dual Mangekyo, Kakashi is able to summon Susanoo, who has attained the “Complete Body” form.

To help him in battle, it can either manifest swords or shuriken, the latter of which can make Kamui Shuriken warp away whatever they cut. Kakashi also got some of the Six Paths Chakra, which enabled him to employ the Mangekyo Sharingan and its powers repeatedly and for a long time without harming his health or vision.
